Hey! I'm alive and well. Took me about a week to finally settle in and complete my full training for my classes and teaching methodology but nonetheless I am feeling really great and excited. First couple of days were training. Every morning I woke up at 8:00 get ready to head down to 南船橋 for my training until about 6:00. I went to this shopping mall called Vivit. Training was great. Learned a lot of things and now I have a better impression about the company. Aside from the m-f training, I did go out during the weekend. This one was very interesting especially on Saturday night. To begin, I went to a public relations event for my company. We had a good time and I was speaking English to some prospective students. After I went to the shrine at narita. This was the highlight of the day because I enjoy architecture and history a lot. I had a blast and it was amazingly beautiful. Later the day, my housemates and I decided to travel to chiba for the night. Sounds like a plan. It went wrong from there. To begin, we didn't know where to go and we were on a silly goose chase for this restaurant that no one knew where it was. We were lead to some other place but it was totally different. At this moment the trains all closed. So we had to spend the night at Chiba. Funny enough it wasn't just us as we saw plenty of people sleeping everywhere. McDonald's, cafes, etc. We went to a couple of bars and stuff and got pretty wild. At this moment I didn't feel like doing anything crazy. I decided to just head back to the station and relax there until the train opened. But one flaw was it was cold. So as I walked back, I saw another housemate thinking the same so we decided to head up to a cafe and relax there. We probably stayed there until 5:00 am until the trains opened again. Wasn't really the best of a Saturday. Sunday was different though... Less exciting but still fun. To make it short, we all woke up late and decided to head to the castle in chiba. Upon arrival we were the only ones and it was a great view. Good sight but it was closed. We still took photos but it was a shame we couldn't go in. We then decided to head to the city for a bite. We took a long walk and settled on having curry for dinner. I myself cannot eat spicy food but I still managed. It was so spicy for me but I guess it was fine. Afterwards we took a long 30 min walk back to the main city and called it a night. We also followed the hockey game on our computers back at home. Yay Canada!
