Yotsuba’s chapter 51 kiss
Negi dropped a red herring earlier in chapter 51 when the quints were thinking of how to thank Fuutarou for being their tutor. While the other four were imagining kissing Fuutarou, Yotsuba imagined giving him a medal. So Yotsuba caught me completely by surprise when she did this!
My reaction was pretty much the same as all the other quints and Raiha! Looks like Yotsuba acted on impulse, then realized afterward that she’s supposed to be hiding her feelings, not acting on them! Quick Yotsuba, come up with a cover story!!!
Just look at the way Yotsuba’s looking at Fuutarou here. Look at that huge blush!There was much more to that kiss than just a thank you and it’s written all over her face and body language! Meanwhile, Fuutarou is like, “Yotsuba?!?” Stunned, speechless, and probably wondering, “did she really just do what I think she did?”
Here’s what Yotsuba really wanted to do! I’m not even kidding.
Given what we learn about Yotsuba’s feelings for Fuutarou in chapters 21, 37, 72, and 90, I think it’s safe to say that kiss in chapter 51 had more than just a thank you behind it. A lot more. Yotsuba’s been holding back her feelings since she and Fuutarou were reunited. It’s why I’m convinced she’s the bell kisser at the end of the Scrambled Eggs arc. Happily for Yotsuba, as of chapter 115 Fuutarou has admitted he’s in love with her. Sadly, he has yet to actually tell her that he loves her. Hopefully, she doesn’t have much longer to wait. I say hopefully because the manga is almost over, so he’d better tell her soon!!!
