I've been toying with this idea for a little while now and decided I should just type some of it up to see how I felt about it. I present to you JangObi crossover with You.
Jango is a bounty hunter focused on destroying the Jedi and bringing the split factions of Mandalore back together. That is until he meets one Obi-Wan Kenobi and realizes this particular Jedi was meant to stand by his side as his riduur. If only those damned Jedi would free him of their clutches. Jango is a patient man, and he will do whatever it takes to show Obi-Wan that they are perfect together. Even of Obi-Wan doesn't realize it yet.
Small note: even as I wrote this I was rewriting their first meeting, but here's one of the potential routes I'll go. Please lemme know what you think! Or just fangirl about JangObi with me!
The sentients all around Jango blurred into a mindless mass. For all their differences they were all the same. None of them bearing honor or loyalty to anything but credits. Mercs or Jetii, they were all the same. That was, until You.
You grin and flirt with everyone around you, begging to be seen, loved. Yet you hide yourself behind heavy robes, afraid that when they do see you, they won't love you. I see you, and I'm not going to ever look away.
There they were; the most beautiful human or near-human Jango had ever seen. They sat at the bar sharing laughter and drinks with a small rodian bounty hunter. Jango recognized the rodian as a particularly loose-lipped member of one of the crews that hung around the current spaceport. The snatches of conversation he picked up from the two made it clear his runi was looking for information. Don't waste your time on this shabuir. I can give you all you need.
As he circled around he finally got his runi's name, "Ben." Ben. What a perfect name for a perfect being. Ben was too busy asking the rodian about the Crescent Rings, the spice traders on this side of the galaxy, to pay any mind to Jango slowly closing in. That was okay, Jango would watch their six for them. Drawing in closer, Jango finally got a good look at Ben. From neatly styled hair and beard to his plain tunic and well-worn boots, Ben was the picture of a perfect gentleman. It was a wonder no one was raising any alarms that they didn't belong.
A little closer and Jango scanned them for weapons--only a fool wasn't armed in a port like this. He would protect Ben of course, but really the other should learn to defend themselves. Hidden at their waist was a small handle tuckes out of sight. A jetii'kad...
Oh Ben. I can tell you don't belong with them. You're not cold like the jetii. That smile tells me all i need to know. They can't appreciate like you deserve, sending you to a place like this on your own. I'll protect you, don't worry. But i know they dig their claws into your mind. It'll be slow, and it'll take patience, but I'll show you that you don't need them. I'll be all you need.
