Also guys you all need to go and bully @val-of-the-north , he kept nudging me to go find items needed for the quest of Dung Eater and urged me to interact with him all like "omg Kat his questline is so funny" and "he is such a hilarious character, you are missing out on not wanting to see what he is about" and "Kat you need to do that just for completion of game experience" when he KNOWS I am morbidly curious and have lacking ability to stop even after realizing what I've gotten myself into -_-

I actually HAD to stop after giving him one (1) seedbed curse because my dinner started to SERIOUSLY ask to go outside, but anyways, as much as I appreciate Fromsoft being gigachads for showing not only sympathetic rebels against Golden Order but also whatever the fuck this thing is, Val can't be forgiven and he is no longer my pogchamp and no longer my emotional support Italian 💀💀😠💀🤬🌛

I think Ash is a good Servant to be a friend because he knows exactly how destructive emotions can be- the slaughter of the Pandava camp chief among them- and wouldn't want anyone to twist themselves that way. Would you say so too Ree?

it is important to notify that Ash undergoes a terrible mental degradation towards the end of the war because of the unethical murder of his father. It’s all rooted in family and honor if you think about it, and from the testimonies written by actual hindu people that i’ve researched, Ash was considered a ‘good man’ until that breaking point that made him tip over the edge. One horrible act led to an actual worse crime. I’m pretty sure that Ashwatthama is the only person Krishna has ever cursed (CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG) and i believe that it’s pretty telling.

Bad things led to another and someone as gentle as Krishna cursing Ash to wander the earth as an immortal until the end of the kaliyuga kinda fucks me up. It’s very much deserved of course, because Ash commited awful crimes against humanity, but what is important to remember here is that, he’s basically millenias old. He had A FUCKTON OF TIME to think on his actions and devote his faith to Shiva which means that he probably lived with depression and ptsd for thousands of years. I’m sure that he’s very well aware of his crimes and FGO didn’t touch upon his more rational side a lot, which is absolutely unfortunate, since most players might miss those details. 

His FGO self is ‘mostly’ based on trivia about his initial self, meaning that it chose to focus on the fact that he’s Shiva’s avatar aka The Destroyer, he’s mad all the time aka he ‘supposedly’ doesnt think before acting etc etc... and it’s..... :(

I love the bit that states that he would never hate someone no matter how much he gets mad. This gives him depth. But why is that ?  That’s because his anger comes from knowledge. He’s very much aware of what destructive anger can lead to, that’s why his valentines scene is so nice. He just offers you a talk because communicating is what he failed to do back then. There’s a clear distinction between his calm and relaxed self and the “Fired Up Bad Boy” first impression that ppl have of him, which i also rly like!!! Gotta read more on him because i kNOW a fuckton of ppl analyzed his actions in the mhbrt and i want to know more about that.
