I will still defend most of it to this day. However, there’s one thing I’ve just never been able to get over, and that’s the age gap.

No, not the thing where a 19yo marries a 100+yo vampire. I’m fine with that.

The thing that bothers me is that Bella marries Edward (and becomes a vampire) when she’s NINETEEN (19).

In case you didn’t know, in Twilight, when a vampire is turned, ALL development ceases. That’s both physical AND mental maturity.

Do you know how old Edward was when he was turned?

Technically yes Edward is “built different” and Emmett was turned when he was 20 and he was more immature than Edward was. But it’s the principle. 17yo boys are so gross and we shouldn’t be feeding into their older women fantasies 😭😭😭😭

EDIT: Someone pointed out Bella was actually changed when she was 18 but iirc her 19th birthday was just like a few days later?? I got a lil confused 😔 My point still stands tho
