Imagine that you are being stalked by bullies, who are trying to spread lies about you and make people hate you. This goes on for several months and you become very uncomfortable with the situation, unsure of what to do.

Eventually, your favorite character finds out and gets angry. He/she then confronts the bullies and beats them up (although you don’t know about this). 

Your favorite character then finds you and kisses your forehead, telling you that the bullies won’t bother you ever again.

(NIV) Genesis 26:3

Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you.  For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham.

A promise like this could give Isaac the faith needed to go home with sense of security.  The brought that promise upon Abraham could be exemplified by Isaac, so that it will be fulfilled.  Having the faith and trust that the Lord keeps those kinds of promises could be the factor that keeps him on the right track. The way that he lives faithfully could cause those promises to come true.

You're stronger than you think!

I just want to say, that if anyone is feeling like complete shit and like the world doesn't need them, and that everyone would be better off without them, you are wrong, you may feel like that now, you might not see the escape at the moment, but there will be a ladder to climb out of the hole that is this depression, and sometimes you might slip back down and have to take those steps again but you will get out, so don't give up on waiting for that ladder, you are beautiful and you are strong and you can get through this. If anyone needs someone to talk to, I'm right here!
