honestly /this/ close to rereading some Dellah novels and liveblogging
It's easy to believe that nothing matters, when in reality nothing matters on the internet. Which only makes us more desperate to make something matter on the internet. "I must be doing something wrong. I'll try something a little different. I'll try something totally different. I'll take others' advice." None of it will actually mean anything, but we assume the magic just wore off. Go back at it. Nothing. Humans actually like challenges, but this will backfire very badly the more flawed our premise is.
At the same time, we concluded that a great many things could be accomplished more effectively online. Abandoning the challenges of real life. But offline, IRL, is where it's all at. That's where life is. The fun. The connections. Rewards. Challenges that have inherent value in the first place.
Writing this. I should be writing this off line. As off line as possible. Maybe use this as notes to write something of substance with a life outside the internet entirely.
Why am I such a slut for emo who tries to be edgy and distant but is incredibly touch-starved x overdramatic extrovert that has secret not-so-secret self-esteem issues
So some people go out and party on a Saturday night, I on the other hand puppy watch for my step mum and get cuddles with these adorable babies 😍❤😚
