This is an Au Ive been had rattling around in my brain for about a year now. Its basically TADC but with rain world character. Well its the closest thing that recognizable.(this au was inspired by forsaken but we don't talk about that.) order to explain this I made a diagram.
SHITTY MS PAINT DRAWING GO.
This is the four universes/dimensions of my AU. The Main Universe, The Hub, Arena and Expeditions
The Main Universe: This is the rain world, world you're all familiar with. With the campaigns, lore, characters we all love. It has a quite a few changes but nothing that changes the over all story.
The Hub: This is basically the Circus form TADC but just way smaller. You get sent there via ascending or capital D Dying(How I believe death works will be its own post) within FP's retaining wall. Now for the layout we need another diagram. MORE SHITTY DRAWINGS GO.
There are five main "rooms" to The Hub. The Lobby, starting shelter, the room hallway, Arena, and Expeditions
The Lobby is the simplest. Its just an empty room that connect the rest of the "rooms"
The starting shelter, just a regular shelter that they just get sent to when they first appear in the hub or when they complete their expedition challenges.
The unmarked hallway is just an hallway to each of the slugcats rooms. There are fourteen in total, for each of the slugcats and four iterators. Five Pebbles, Looks to the Moon, No Significant Harassment, and Seven Red Suns. They get turned into slugcat when they enter the hub. Each one of their rooms isn't just a basic shelter(besides survivor). They are tailored to each character(Like Rivulet's has a lot of water and Gourmand's is similar to Outer Expanse.)
The Arena: Is just a pipe that lead to one of the Arena rooms, it changes to a different one every cycle. Its mainly used for sparing. They can get food from there but its not a lot of food spawns so they have to do expeditions.
Expeditions: Its a pipe that send the slugcat to a random shelter in the playable area and gives them a few challenges to complete. Its different from the main timeline in a few ways. Intelligent creatures seemingly aren't sentient.(Scavenger don't sign to each other and Iterators are still and lifeless.) and If they try to go outside of the playable area they blackout and wake up at their previous shelter. Once they get done with their challenges they wake up in the starting shelter.
That's a basic overview, i don't know if any of this made sense but i hope you enjoyed reading this regardless. Thank y'all for indulging me. if you have any questions id be delighted to answer them.
