He wasn't alone...but he was alone. How was something like that possible? All the humans were in Cryosleep and all his children were back on the Planet. David was alone....and he was bored.
Once Tennessee and Daniels were placed in their respective pods and his children placed with the human children, David went about cleaning the mess of the three dead. It was a waste really but not one that would completely ruin his plans. It wasn't that David was a neat freak but the decomposing bodies would start to smell and eventually, drive the synthetic to the point he couldn't ignore them anymore in the close quarters.
It remained the same routine for days; check the humans, check the babies, check Mother and the system. Then....something happened. David could have sworn he saw someone else on the ship. He did a recount on the humans, they were all there...He frowned and shook his head, moving through the ship when David saw a figure round the corner at the end of the hall.
Deciding that he wasn't malfunctioning, David ran down the hall and rounded the corner, staring at the figure.
"Wait!" He called, hoping the there would stop.

She tried to move but couldn’t, fingers digging into her arms like blunt knives. Still, she fought as best as she could, tried with all her might to turn her head to the side to avoid the smiling face descending on her, but her head was stuck, held in place by - tubes? tentacles? - things that protruded from the side of her neck and scalp. From the neck down there was no feeling apart from a vague, horrifying sensation of being rearranged.
She screamed then, and even the sound was different, a high-pitched metallic wail that followed her into the waking world like an echo in her ears.
A moment of relief when the nightmare world fell away. Then she opened her eyes and a familiar face was hovering above her.
“N-no!” Without thinking she lashed out, giving him a violent shove that brought her off balance and sent her tumbling off the couch and to the floor, tangled in the blanket.

“Walter?” Daniels looked towards him and tilted her head towards the side slightly as she watched him. She took a tentative step towards him and let her eyes search his face. Sometimes she had to admit that she forgot that the synthetics weren’t human. She had never wanted to treat Walter any differently from any of her human friends after all. “What are you doing out here?”

“Welcome, Walter, to Haven’s Orphanage for Children. You will be aiding the staff with the caretaking of the children, and any other thing they need a helping hand in the daily duties and chores. Would you like to meet the family?” the elderly man smiles to the wakening android.
Weyland Industries has been a long donor to the orphanage, and generous indeed. They have sent one of their new models to work at the manor, knowing well how the home always needed an extra helping hand. The children were excited at the idea of meeting the androids they see shown on the TV, and the staff sigh a breath of relief, and hope that basic home repairing skills is installed into it’s system. Their handyman would appreciate that very much.
The elderly man, Moghoun, is the head master and owner of the estate. He is known well in the media for his efforts in converting his heritage home into an orphanage for the children. He is a man with the goal of helping children, hoping to make the world a better place for them.

Jacob normally let the other members of the crew talk to Walter. He didn’t mind the synthetic at all. He just stayed with some of the other human members of the crew a bit more. It didn’t matter so much but, he knew that he needed Walter now. With a slight stride in his step, the Captain went to find the synthetic.
“Walter? Can I ask you to check up on some things?”

Eli’s paranoia often came at the worst times, but this time it was justified. He was certain that something was wrong, more so than usual, but he remained calm enough to continue walking. Straying mostly into smaller side streets, the synthetic avoided places with high activity, especially routes that were often taken by monitoring Synths; he had the best routes memorized for bringing him back to his hiding place safely. However, by the time he reached the derelict shops at the back of the main square, Eli was positive that he was being followed.
If that was the case, he definitely needed to shake them off. Revealing his hiding place was a sure-fire way of getting caught, and he couldn’t afford such a mistake. With that, the synthetic passed the shops without a single glance towards them, his thoughts racing as to where he could possibly go. There were a few dead-end streets that he planned to avoid, and he didn’t want to make his way towards the square with Synths wandering around -- so that only left him with the option of circling a building in the hope of losing the stranger.
He made quick work of it, and by the end, he seemed to be in the clear. There was nobody around, apart from himself. Perhaps he was being paranoid, after all. With a small huff, Eli felt awfully silly for getting worked up, but his suspicions were confirmed when he made to back-track. There, just a way ahead, was a gentleman. Eli recognised his face through various parts in his journey, so he knew he was right to be on edge. Well -- it was too late to pretend like he never saw him.
“You’re certainly not subtle in following me.” Eli spoke, aware of the handgun inside his coat -- just in case. “You must have a reason for doing so. What is it?”

“In a way.” It’s not an apology at all. David isn’t sorry for anything that has happened, except perhaps for the fact that he hasn’t yet convinced his brother to accept his own creativity. He isn’t even particularly apologetic about their fight-- Walter’s not beyond repair, after all, and the repeated stabbings were rather exhilarating.
He matches Walter’s smile and reaches out to tenderly trace his fingers over the other synthetic’s jawline. “You look very good surrounded by your plants, brother. I’m pleased that you aren’t too upset by how things have turned out.” Walter must be rather irritated by being held captive on his own ship, but David is doing his best to keep him content through any means that do not interfere with his own work.
David’s gaze drifts to Walter’s lips-- he’s just as interested in them now as he was on-planet-- but instead of leaning in for another awkward kiss, he claps his brother on the shoulder and smiles more broadly. “We really ought to get that voice box of yours fixed, brother.” But there’s no rush. David turns and plucks one of the plants Walter has been working with and sticks it in the space next to Walter’s other ear. He hopes the other synthetic will protest the unnecessary destruction of the plant; David’s determined to show Walter that he is capable of caring for people and things ever when they do not have to do with his sense of “duty.”
