So Phil had a minor crush on one of his friends, a preppy trumpet boy named Alex.  He had curly light brown hair, and hazel eyes.  Alex didn’t particularly appreciate Phil and his lack of musicality, but he’s laughed every now and then because of the trombone player.  (Like, two times.)

In high school, Phil was really interested in English.  It was the only advanced class that he hadn’t flunked out of, although he closeted his love for literature in the first two years of high school.  By his junior year, when he took a creative writing course, he gave little to no fucks.
