Oh, I love your Christmas traditions! Watching childhood TV shows while baking cookies sounds so cozy and magical. 🎄🍪 I can almost smell the scent of freshly baked treats and hear the jingles in the background.
Your Christmas Eve sounds like a wonderful celebration of togetherness. I absolutely adore the idea of singing carols with a musical family! It must feel like a heartwarming symphony of love and cheer. 🎶❤️ And now you’ve got me very curious about your “special guy” who visits instead of Santa Claus! 🤔
For me, my favorite parts of Christmas are the moments of warmth and connection. I love decorating the tree while listening to music (I bet you can guess the type of music... hint: lots of guitars! 🎸). I also enjoy walking through the city and admiring the lights and decorations—it always feels like stepping into a fairytale.
But most of all, I love spending time with family and friends. This year, it’s even more special with the arrival of a little “Christmas elf” in our family! I hope to pass on the magic of the season to him, and perhaps one day he’ll have his own favorite traditions to share. 😊
Oh, and before I forget—I’m terribly late with the reveal! Please forgive me; it feels like time has been running faster than Santa’s reindeer this season. 🦌 But I promise I’ll make it up to you!
What’s your favorite Christmas cookie to bake? I might need some inspiration to try new recipes this year!
Sending you lots of festive hugs and Christmas cheer!
Yours, Youle ❤️🎅🎄
I am happy to share with you some christmas cookies inspiration:
Vanilla crescents: 50 grams of grinded hazel nuts, 100 g butter, 150 g spelled flour, 30 grams of vanilla powdered sugar (it'easy to make at home), 1 egg yolk.
Make a dough, leave it in a fridge at least for 90 mins. Than make small...I don' know....things on the picture :D
Bake on a tray on 150°C for 15-20 mins. Powder them over with sugar while they are still warm.
Linzer cookies as I do it (not the austrian one!):
210 g flour, 140 g butter, 70 g powdered sugar (preferably vanilla one), 1 tea spoon of lemon zest and 2 egg yolks. Make a dough, set it in the cold for at least an hour, roll out the dough, cut out cirles or hearts or whatever. Bake cca 170°C (whoa, European!) for 10 mins. Then put the peaces together with rabsberry or red currant jam (or any other really!).
These two are my favourite...not so much to bake (linzer ones are a bit pain) but deffinitely to eat 😃 And I know I am late but maybe you will try them next year (or you can be cunning and make the linzer cookies over the Eastern- using cutting outs in a shape of egg, bunny or whatever 😅 )
I will gladly tell you all about our christmas guy in your DMs after you'll uncover yourself (can't wait!) :)
Many congratulations for the important addition to your family 🥹
I celebrated NYE with the same group of friends which I've known and loved since high school and it's so special and mind boggling that we went from drinking our brains out years ago to warming one drink all night and watching new generation running around these days. Life circle at its best ❤️
