I just read one of your answered asks about how genetic conditions stay once they're killed and it got me thinking about Michael (idk if you've talked about this sorry :( ) and his shitty eyesight. Like, he lied on his draft form because they would never let him in if they knew he couldn't see 2 ft in front of him. And then he couldn't see the goddamn mine he stepped on, and when he woke up, he was so pissed/confused because "GOD BROUGHT ME BACK FROM THE DEAD BUT HE COULDNT FIX MY EYES?!"
He does have glasses, to be fair, but he probably lied about his prescription. Between his terrible eyesight and the darkness and panic of being shot at in the middle of a minefield full of barbed wire and rotting corpses, no wonder he couldn’t see the mine.
But yes, the immortals with less than stellar eyesight are pretty full of vinegar about their still shitty eyes. Geoff makes fun of them a lot. Ryan’s pretty grateful that at least glasses got invented, he didn’t even know his eyesight was bad until he was already a few hundred years old!
