Ida B. Wells-Barnett July, 16 1862 - March 25,1931 Journalist, Educator, Activist, Suffragists. She sought to speak out against racism and inequality around her with conviction and intelligence. She wasn't timid when facing adversity and even questioned and contested groups like the N.A.A.C.P (which she help start) for not being action based. Her research on lynchings in the south almost cost her her life several times. Also her stance and force for women's suffrage (right to vote) reaching the steps of the White House.
