You see him finally, familiar wind-swept hair and eyes that sparkle with a mischief that is reflected at the surface of his brown pupils. He’s still wearing a leather jacket, he’s still standing there laughing, with that little grin that tugs his lips to the corner of his mouth.
It is as if you have lost all ability to move, all ability to speak. Your voice is caught in your throat — it’s Han.
You see him suddenly shift his gaze to the side, the laughter clearly still written in his eyes, and then he falters. Humor sliding off his face, his smile melting to a thin line. He’s just as shocked as you are, wondering if it’s really you.
He pushes the man he’s talking to aside, striding towards you, hands falling out of his pockets. His eyes are dark and fixated on you, and you swallow, doing your best to retain calmness.
“Han,” you begin, smiling cooly, “didn’t think I’d see you aga—“
He interrupts, his voice low, the same smirk twisting at his mouth. “We’re not just friends and you fucking know it.”
The smile drops off your face, you choke. “What?”
He smiles again this time. “You heard me, sweetheart.” He places a hand on the side of the wall next to your head, inching closer. “I like you. You like me.”
You shake your head, your cheeks flushing. “I never said—“
“Shut up.” He moves forward in a sudden motion, kissing you. His lips are rough against your own, desperate, and his hand slides against your waist, pulling you closer.
“Took you long enough,” you finally breathe out, your eyes flickering to his face.
He simply shrugs, an exhilarated look beneath his eyes. “Had lots of time for thinking.”
You bite your lip, “so did I.”
You reach up to run your fingers through his hair, pressing your lips back against his own.
“I like you,” you finally say.
Han grins, his fingers raising to caress your cheek. “Yeah, I’d noticed. Thanks though.”
You shake your head, smacking him lightly on the shoulder. “Missed you.”
It’s quiet for a while before you hear his voice again. “I missed you too.”
