Regina totally flying on Mal’s back. And Regina finding all of the soft spots on dragon!Mal. Like, Regina casually petting Mal’s scales and her leg twitches before thumping happily like a dog’s leg. Then she gets awkwardly embarrassed and cuteness~
Ooooh THIS! OMG that would be so cute and funny. And how about they come down after flying for a good while and Mal takes a nap, curled up in her dragon form, and young!Regina goes to touch her horns with shy curiosity.
She doesn’t know if Mal would approve of this, so she does when she thinks she’s sleeping, and then the dragon lets out a dragonish purr? and Regina blushes and yanks her hand away like she had touched incandescent iron.
Mal opens an eye and sees Regina smiling as her hand is going at her horn once more, to see if it had indeed been her touch what made Mal purr, and the dragon closes her eye again to allow Regina this little innocent fun.
I find it interesting that ouat never had to cast any actress to play young Regina, Lana can do everything and she really looks young in the EF flashbacks! She's just awesome!!
BABY QUEEEEENNNN~~~~~~~!!! <3
So the reason I wrote this OS was because this morning over twitter we were discussing the possibility of Robin returning Regina runaway horse, probably their first meeting. Thing was I got inspired and went a bit over my head with my response making chocapic-selenator want me to write this… anoutlawqueen was part of this discussion as well... So I said “Sure why not let me enjoy the muse while it last.” So here you have it. I am probably going to post over Fanfiction. Net later on but for now here it is. Typos and mistakes are mine because I have been a little rusty writing wise but try to enjoy.
A chance meeting.
It was one of those rare days that she was fortunate to be alone. One of those days where Snow wasn’t pestering, annoying the queen with her childish and bratty behavior. A day where it was her, Rocinante and a whirling mind filled with million thoughts, never dreams. Because to dream was to have high expectations for the future, a future that in front of her eyes was gone. Her Daniel, her one true love died and with him her heart as well. Now it was just a rock in her chest only capable of pain and anger, anger that simmers throughout her veins like the poison of the most lethal snake.
As she lays down on the ground gazing up the blue sky with cotton like clouds, her pale lips turn into a gentle smile, one of those that were hard to come by nowadays. The young queen closes her eyes trying to get lost in the soft wind caressing her skin. To lose herself, that is all what she really wants. To be in another world, another dimension, another alternate universe where Daniel is alive, in front of her, his hand gently stroking her cheek, with a smile so soft that could make her melt. But no, that wasn’t possible, no that wasn’t in the cards for her. Even with magic at her disposal, Daniel is still lost to her. Every day that she comes to that realization is a day more where her anger grows more. The sigh that leaves her body is heavy and full of tiring sadness dragging down her soul to a abysm she surely knew it would be impossible to return from. Didn’t matter to the brunette, her mind was set on vengeance and she had knowledge of what would happen to her soul after getting what she desire. Sure she would gain a blacken soul but if that meant saying goodbye forever to the precious ‘Snow White’ well be it.
He watches her intently; pale and beautiful skin glowing with the light of the sun. Long tresses that he was quite sure they would feel like silk between his callous fingers. The archer is completely mesmerized by the raven beauty. His eyes dragging across her features slowly, studying every little movement, every little tick she made and something doesn’t come amiss to him, her sadness. The way she drags her shoulder when sighing, that smile that ghost her face for a few seconds told stories of loneliness and despair. Something tugs his heart, something in him tells him to go, reach for her hand and talk to that young and beautiful lady. Alas he cannot do that, he was about to steal from the king, meaning fate had to be a bit more flexible and allow him to meet her in some other time, oh how he wishes it that to happen. It is not wise to steal in broad daylight, of that he is quite aware but the king was away attending other matters and his daughter with him which meant lack of security. He scouts the area looking for possible entry routes that would gain him access to the palace. His gaze falls back to the brunette beauty and he has to shakes his head to concentrate, losing focus wasn’t something he could afford. When blue eyed man locked on a entry route a smirk draws to his lips as he prepares to do what he did best. He gets down from the tree where he currently is and slyly begins to move around until he reaches one of the few guards that were around. Is at that moment that a piercing scream rips through the air and his attention was diverted there.
“ROCINANTE!!” shouts Regina, to the now runaway horse. She looks at her surrounding trying to decipher what could have scared her mere away. He eyes draw to a small snake and then she understands. Her brown eyes snaps back to her mere and she begins to go after it. Her legs wouldn’t allow her to go faster and her riding boots where beginning to hurt her skin. She releases a frustrated growl into the air, throwing her hand up and annoyance beginning to build up.
The distraction was perfect and he knows it. While everyone went to get the mere he could easily slip in, takes what he needed and leave without anyone noticing. But it took was one look at her to change his mind in an instant. The flare of the nostril, the scrunching of her brows and that adorable way he hand shot up to the air in sheer annoyance. She was cute as a button and he had the feeling if someone tells her something like that she would send a death glare and he wanted, for some inexplicable reason, to be at the end of it. He shakes his head knowing well that what he was about to do it was a stupid move. “I really should stop falling for the enchantments of brunettes.” He chuckles amusingly to himself before sprinting forward to catch that horse.
Regina was beyond angry, more like angry worried. Rocinante was all she had left. He was embed with the memories of Daniel, memories that kept her sanity intact. That moment she wishes her magic to come, to help her but it came to no avail. The brunette huffs air out and resumes running towards her horse, “Figures.” She mumbles while running, her guards still unmoving and that only makes her hate this dreadful place even more. Her beautiful yet horrible prison cell that it the castle. She brow scrunches when a shadowy figure is standing on Rocinante path. The young queen stops and eyes it curiously and when she saw he didn’t intended to move, her eyes widen and she can’t help to scream, “LOOK OUT.” She rushes there but to her surprise the stranger manages to stop the runaway horse. A sense of relief takes over her body making the tension sip away slowly. Hands fly up to cup the back of her neck as her eyes shut close releasing a breath of air that has been stuck in her lungs for the duration of this panic.
Her stress voice sounded so perfect. The archer couldn’t deny that hearing her was one of his wishes for the day and it was greatly granted. He softly pets the mere head, “Hey buddy calm down.” And he does. Robin lips quirk into a soft smile at the respond, “Good. Now let’s take you to that beautiful owner of yours.” The graceful steed bounces his head and Robin takes that as an affirmative declaration. The outlaw coaxes the horse to turn and slowly but surely they begin to walk to the beautiful young woman.
She hurries her footsteps, quickly gaining on the pair in front of her. Her eyes goes quickly to her best friends and smiles. Up close she was even more beautiful he could even begin to imagine. Those dark eyes that told millions of stories were full of relief towards her horse. “I do believe this wonderful specimen belongs to you.” He begins, his accented voice making her look up at her. She immediately was drawn to those alluring deep blue eyes and for a minute there she forgot how to breath, ‘Pull yourself together, Regina .’ she thinks to herself shaking her head. The queen softly pets her horse not saying anything, her voice was still to be found. “This is quite the steep. Well groomed and taken care of, you must be quite proud of yourself.” The fact that he assumes the health of her horse was well because of her guided a smile to her lips. Compliments didn’t come often towards her, well if you count Snow constant need to say how pretty she was, no, this was different for her, good different. “Well I have to take care of my best friends well otherwise…” she lets the words hanging, shifting a bit nervously. Rocinante seems to pick it up because he pushes her with his head towards the stranger she knew nothing off. He places his hands on her arms to ground her and the contact feels like sparks. “You alright milady?” his deep voice filled with concern and Regina has to take a deep breath to steady herself. Heart rate rising like the bubbles of a newly open champagne bottle and inexplicable sensation of rightness between them. The raven beauty shakes her head softly and a quick smile graces her lips. “I am quite well, thanks for the concern.” Her lasts words were accompany by a certain sadness that has him frowning. “It is my pleasure. Someone as beautiful as you need to be well taken care of.” He gives a full smiles, showcasing his dimples and Regina could feel herself melt at the view of them. ‘Since when I’m a fan of dimple?’ she questions herself, that inner monologue was driving her insane. “You would be surprise how much people take ‘care’ of me around these parts.” Bitterness and coldness all in one while her words drop from her lips scornfully. A smirks tugs at the corner of his lips while his words drop, “Well I guess those around you don’t seem to have a good eyesight for valuable treasure.” At that moment her cheeks began to burn and she has to look away from his tantalizing blue eyes. No one ever called her a treasure, at least not the way his words meant to. Something about him felt right, something was telling her to keep on talking to him. That is when she realizes that their names haven’t been exchange. She opens and closes her mouth trying to convey words to ask him. When she finally was able to draw words a shout of one of the guards capture their attention. “Oh great, now they do their job.” An exasperated groan leaves her with a roll of her eyes. The outlaw chuckles softly and tilts his head, “This is my cue to leave.” He declares without letting go of her. Robin wanted more time with her but circumstances weren’t on his favor, perhaps some other time. “THIEF.” The guards screams getting the others attention. “Gods sakes.” Regina grunts out. The archer shrugs his shoulders in a disappointed way. “I guess we will resume out conversation in another time.” He dips his head to kiss her cheek and when he pulls back a wink was sent her way. The brown eyes woman was perplex with his bold move but can’t really deny she likes it. She shakes her head trying to get back to reality and immediately a frown takes over her features. “Can you at least tell me your name?” she asks with a perfectly manicured brow lift, a sassy tone latch to her words. He laughs softly eyeing his surrounding, making sure he has a good timing to get away. He courtly extends his hand to her and with another wink he, “Robin of Locksley, at your service.” She takes his hand surprise in her demeanor. “The thief.” She says in a whispers before swallowing hard. “You came to steal?” she ask curiously. He nods, “Yes, but I got more than I could ever hope for.” He smiles again showing his dimples, “I got to meet an amazing beautiful woman.” He presses a kiss to her knuckles, “Now if you excuse I really must be going…” he leaves it hanging ready for her to fill the blanks, she smiles flushed. “Regina.” He grins at her, “Lovely name for a lovely woman.” He says letting go of her hand, “Until next time, Regina.” He turns on his heels and runs off. She smiles fondly her lips parted as she nervously runs her tongue over the bottom lip. “Until next time indeed.”
