Mob and Reigen: ageswap au

Mob was initially concerned about Reigen’s claims on being haunted, but it quickly becomes obvious Reigen was just trying to sound interesting (and choosing the wrong way to go about it, but maybe he also uses it as an excuse for why people don’t stick around as his friends for long).

Reigen blames all his bad luck on his curse. He’s not afraid to take advantage of Mob’s kindness. He loves altering his uniform and wearing really bright colors.

For all his loudness, Mob grows fond of him.

I love the ageswap AU, mostly because of Kid!Reigen. So of course, I eventually landed on “but normal!Shigeo and Kid!Reigen, tho.” Because that’d be entirely too adorable, two quirky weird boys just trying to waddle through their teenage years.

With psychic powers thrown in.

Reigen is the weird sweaty kid who lies a lot.

i love young!reigen crushing on mob!! and (spoilers if you haven’t finished the manga) i thought about when mob goes to confess to tsubomi, reigen actually confesses his love and calms mob down / w \

Everyone else already did a redraw of these panels so it was about time I did my own, but not quite, in true AU fashion.

Reigen’s not in his uniform because he knew Mob was going to confess to Tsubomi that day so he chickened out and skipped school, too afraid he’d mess Mob up (or give something away) if he had to hang out with him all day.

Of course the main purpose of his confession was to admit he’s not a blooming esper or the Greatest Paranormal Vlogger of the 21st Century, but he can squeeze in a confession too. (´∀｀)♡

I picture by this point Mob more or less knows Reigen’s crushing on him but it’s never been said out loud.
