Housesitting for My Sister

Young Rupert, my sister's dog, is like a magnet for all the frogs in the neighborhood.  After a shitty night at work, I had to convince him not to eat a rather large frog on his night walk.  Earlier that same day, he tried to eat a butterfly, but it was too smart for him.

After two days of cautious glaring at me, Mo-the-cat has decided to disregard my authority.  He knows he can get away with just about everything, because I think of him as a squishy marshmallow cat.  Which he is.  

Both animals will run around and make their respective noises at nothing.  Usually late at night, but sometimes in the afternoon.  There are howling dogs in the woods and I know they're not wolves, but I watched some scary movies last night and now I'm not sure.  Meanwhile, I hang out in the backyard and try to figure out how my sister will child-proof the large rocks and manhole when she starts having children.
