Why is it always a trio?

In every movie/book/tv show, it’s always a trio. 

In Harry Potter, it’s Ron, Hermione, and Harry. 

In Percy Jackson, the original trio is Grover, Annabeth, and Percy. Then in Lost Hero it’s Jason, Piper, and Leo. In Son of Neptune, it’s Percy, Frank, and Hazel.

In Attack on Titan (An anime which I recommend) it’s Eren, Armin, and Mikasa.

In Young Samurai (A book series which I also highly recommend) it’s Jack, Yamato, and Akiko.

In Avatar, the original trio was Sokka, Aang, and Katara. 

In The Dragon Prince (A cartoon I recommend) it’s Callum, Ezran, and Rayla. 

IT’S ALWAYS A TRIO! And the trio is always two boys and one girl.I feel like someone should switch it up.

Edit: In Sherlock, the Yarders aren’t the main characters, no, but still, it’s a trio, two guys and a girl. Lestrade, Anderson, and Donovan. TRIO! (But do we actually know Anderson’s first name, because I don’t.)

If you like Ninjago, I highly recommend this book series. The Young Samurai book series is very exciting and informative.
