Here's the first of our fall "floetics" series. During the fall, the senses feel awakened, yet the body feels dormant. That's how we feel when reading poetry. Floetic is an artistic in-between, in which visuals meet words and music and aim to kind of awaken the soul, the inner muse.
When I close my eyes I see daises. I don't quite understand it. The waves and the lights and the energy combine to form pretty...like I've never seen it before.
It is these harmless, tranquil moments that lead me to believe that maybe, possibly there is love.
I can see color without searching for it, and I can feel everything and nothing at the same time. A simple rush, weightless power, and most of all it can't be taken.
It is everything.
And in that moment. I am everything.
Weekend Wrap-up
This past weekend, we had the privilege of assisting as backstage dressers in Cre8tive Chemistry's "Gift of Fashion" fashion showcase/charity event. The event was flawless in execution and mesmerizing in nature. Artist Ressa Renee gave a very intimate performance prior to the beginning of the event that kept the crowd clapping long after her performance had ended. The models did a great job of switching back and forth through several pieces and keeping the enthusiasm consistent throughout the entire show. Mr. Tony Logan did an excellent job hosting the event by keeping the audience entertained and transitioning them from collection to collection. Overall, the event was a huge success in that the goal was met in raising money and raising awareness as well as making notable connections with several people deeply immersed within the fashion industry. We look forward to partaking in more of these events and possibly hosting a few similar events in the near future.
So get those simple thoughts away from me. I see you dying. Why are you dying?

The silence crept in slowly, unsuspecting,
Wasting away the talk and laughs that were before it,
It took with it them, just as unsuspecting,
Too stealth, too swift to be heard,
Just strong enough to be felt and to take feelings,
In its wake it leaves nothing,
Nothing but a cold, cruel thought about how it was conjured in the first place.
