it’s a well known fact that austin’s always had a tendency to bottle things up and ignore the problem, or at least until it becomes too much for him to handle. for the past few days, he had been much quieter than usual, thanks to this habit --- something in particular was gnawing away at his mind. sure, he was trying to be more open with candy, but talking about something that he hadn’t even come to terms with himself, something that didn’t feel real at all, would prove to be difficult for him. stifling a yawn as candy turned to face him, he rubbed his eyes lightly as she spoke, allowing him time to pause and try to change the subject. “do we have to talk about this right now?”

Glitter painted nails reflected off the light of the sun as she used her hand to shade her eyes from the harsh sun.
