#StoryTime - Thankful - One night I had @youngprincecharles & @bycent up at @wrir973 & after our interview it turned into me freestyling over a bunch of beats. It got kinda weird & deep, all at the same time, I’m sure it made for an interesting ride home convo for them though. I really appreciated them sticking around after 3am to watch me unpack whatever was in my mind. It felt like they get me, which made this one a really important moment for me. Most people don’t get me. I got to share for once instead of perform, for two people who have been through such a unique life, just like me. I don’t talk about the times I’d considered suicide in my music often, though I’ve become more open to speaking on depression over the years. Listening to this makes me grateful every time I hear it.
