There are people doing mimicry with horses and cats
#sure it makes sense but my mind is still blown by it#your horse! is copying you!!!!!!#YOUR CAT!!!!#IS COPYCAT!!!!#mimicry#do as i do#eight more days until the fdsa sign ups open for that mimicry lesson#i want that feedback and guidance from moving with copying known behaviours into copying novel behavious#and ultimately using it to teach complex tricks instead of luring shaping capturing etc#the whole reason thistle is learning bow right now is because i was practicing with thyme#and she came up and offered it too#previously she's so know understanding when learning bow#or interest#but now she is intrigured and offering the bow so quickly that i haven't even had to lure with thyme#its gone straight to combo luring combined with my physical cue#so skipped a few steps and i am delighted#plus idk#concept training is so interesting to me#watching the brains think and puzzle out what i am teaching#there's also a class on teaching matching objects to other objects but im gonna save exploring that for another day
