My Teachers Assistantship this semester is online, but I have to monitor a student and TA chat during the live lectures twice a week. This is incredibly hard on my laptop. So I sit back on my couch with the cats and use our large TV (that's hooked up to a desktop) to keep track of it all.

Indy has only once jumped on the keyboard and sent nonesense to my students.

How are spherical harmonics eigenfunctions of the operator L2?

Usually if you do the math eigenfunctions just sort of drop out and you see that it’s the case? Like it’s usually pretty trivial to show that something’s an eigenfunction, but idk
