@kyriod When a genie is arrested and found guilty of a Genie Crime, the Grand Djinn reincarnated them into a new object with no memory of their previous life. Lava Lamp was a troublemaker in her past life and that's why she's in one now. :-)
More about lava lamp... She really doesn't like it when people witness her at her lowest points because she finds them embarrassing. She often talks too loud due to being in clubs all the time and constantly shouting over loud music. She lived in France for a long time and has a French accent when speaking English.
I have an OC named Lava Lamp who is a genie that lives in a lava lamp and is a huge party animal. She is based off a lot of the club scene aesthetics from the early two thousands and her skirt looks like a jellyfish when she dances. All her dances are based off millennial club dances. Her fingers are glow sticks and her hair is a jellyfish with an electric waterfall flowing out of it. I dunno I just feel inspired to talk about Lava Lamp.
Lava lamp suggestions/ideas: maybe her fabric starts to fray/ pill when she gets weaker? (Pilling=small pill-like balls of fabric show up on the fabric. While it's fixable, its kind of annoying.)Fabric also might stretch awkwardly, one side looking too long/thin. The metal parts might also warp a bit, but I think you could have some fun with the fabric looking sort of tattered.

If anything, her electric colors would dim and start to flicker, since she just doesn’t have the energy to turn her lights on anymore, she’s ‘shutting down.’ Her eyes would lose their light entirely, and her glowsticks would deteriorate even further and look like those gross, rotten glowsticks with bubbles in them.
The rest of her physical form won’t be altered by her emotional state, her body is made up of items that are too solid. A better example for someone whose form would deteriorate during a bought of extreme sadness would be Zirconium, who is made of amorphous things like shadows and lava, or Shackles, who is made mostly of paper.
Trying to conceptualize Lava Lamp at her worst.
Sewn Up, a very young and weak genie who can only tell a story about a scarecrow. I’m at a loss for which color scheme to give her, I really love all of the ones I came up with. Some of the colors didn’t make it into her design because they sacrificed cohesion for the sake of emulating a patched quilt.
