My old apartment from Dumbo, NY is up for rent again, I just happened to be browsing what’s available in my old neighborhood. (I do that now and again.) I’m in shock and awe of how much things have changed there. There were a lot of issues with the building at that time, but you have no idea howwww much I LOVED living there. I manifested that place and the work I needed in order to afford it on my own. I worked so damn hard to make it in New York. It was really hard to let go of that dream when I felt uncertain of how I would move forward with my visa status. So I left, devastated. I’m still working on returning though, this time with new means to live out my wildest childhood dreams.
