Change Of Heart
A decent friend, he was. Perhaps more than just a friend at times, but he was someone she found interest in and that was all that mattered to her. With a mind so fast moving as hers, it was rare she ever settled on a person to the point of caring to see them more than just once every so often. Even if they couldn't get together all the time due to their lives, Alex was always fresh in her mind. When the mention of a date night came up, she was more than willing to push aside other plans to make time for him.
Unlike with others, she wasn't easily bored in his company. In fact, it was the complete opposite. It was exciting, spending time with him. It took her away from her daily life and took her somewhere else, even if only for a short period of time. It felt like a splash of cold water to the face- a feeling she loved.
The restaurant they chose to meet at was quiet and simply pleasant to be at. The inside was dimly lit with low hanging lights and candles placed in the centers of the tables. Awfully romantic for two friends, but she didn't mind. Nights like these it was more than just friendship.
A fair amount of the evening was spent in the far corner of that restaurant, talking about anything and everything that came to mind. Alexa was sure the world had stopped for them while they were inside, but soon enough it was closing time and they were to head out. Not that it mattered, as the night wasn't over yet for the two.
"Got quite chilly, didn't it?" Alexa noticed as they stepped outside, a smoke already between her lips as the flame of her lighter came up to meet it. The air was far cooler than before, somewhat refreshing but mostly chilling.

"Oh wow, this is awkward…"
Thick As Thieves
Her first plan was to go straight home. Strip down, throw on a record, and crawl into bed. That was still the plan, of course, but she decided to hit one of the record stores first. Some new music to sit back to was needed.
Alexa switched off her heels for a pair of classic black boots so the walk to and from wasn't as painful, as she was already in dark tight fitted jeans that hugged her body in all the right places. It was one thing she didn't like, surprisingly enough, and that was feeling sexy. It made her feel uncomfortable, yet that was the look her stylists always went for. It was something she was used to though by now. Even when she was under age, except that's when older male photographers liked to have her in the least amount of clothing possible. At least now she had bit more of a say. Yet still not enough.
In a shirt that was far too exposing for her personal comfort, Alexa had thrown on a heavy leather jacket over top. It weighed her down by who knows how many pounds, and that's what she liked. It felt like something she could hide in.
Once making it to the record store, she stood outside for a moment to finish the cigarette she'd been smoking while quietly humming to herself. Tossing it to the ground, she blew out the last cloud of smoke before opening the door and stepping inside.
