I've just gone through this old subsite thinking about the choices I've made. Thanks for asking.

What do you like the most from the classes that you have ever attended in college?
Wow. I didn’t think it would be this hard to pick a favorite class. I’ll go with all literature classes because they helped me think critically while they were entertaining. And that’s rare.
If you have the chance to relive someone's life, who would you be and why? And write down three things you would do as the person you relived. (Sherina, UGM)
I wish I could answer this saying I wanted to be Maya Angelou or David Bowie or Princess Diana, but the truth is, if I were given the chance to relive I’d be my grandfather so I could sing and play violin everyday to make my children smile.
(It sucks that I never got to meet him.)
Three things I would do if I were my grandfather:1. I would try my best to stop smoking so I could have more time and meet my granddaughter.2. I would stop my granddaughter from giving up her piano lesson.3. I would warn my granddaughter that being an adult is like being in the eye of a storm: everything around her spins like crazy.
Hello there, I'm 21 years old girl who got no clue about this world. I catch a bunch of questions that pop in my mind everytime my eyes blink. Like, why I feel like I'm running out of time but I dont know why, or what is the meaning of rainbow in the puddle of water under the sun and so on. Weird eh? Do you think I will find the answers for all my questions? What do you say?
It’s not weird at all. I find myself wondering about things that are so much weirder most of the time. I guess that’s what growing up is about, huh? Also, nobody has a single clue about the world and how it works.
But since you’re 21, you don’t have to give a damn about what the world is about. When you think too much, time will eat you up, so stop searching for meaning, take time to get to know yourself better and think of what lies ahead of you, then carry on. Sometimes you’ll find the answers to all of your questions when you’re not looking for them.
PS. Your true world is within you, not the other way around.
Share a childhood memory!
When I was little I cut my own hair.
It started when I saw a scissor on my table. I don’t remember where my father was, but my mother was home. Asleep.
I have no idea how I did that, I didn’t even look at the mirror, but I do remember what it felt like. I still remember the sound when the scissor cut my hair. I liked how it sound, I wanted to hear it again. So I cut another chunk of my hair. Then I didn’t think of stopping. I told my self, “Again.”The I cut another chunk.
And another. And another. And another.
My mother woke up to the sound of two blades touching each other. She went ballistic when she found out what I was doing. I didn’t get to see what I looked like after I stylized my own head, because she fixed it immediately. She cut my hair short like a boy’s.
The point of this story is, that my mother always ended up fixing the mess I created. And up until now she keeps doing that in so many different ways, without her even knowing it.
What would u do after graduate? What is the thing that makes u the happiest?
1. Telling you stories.2. Telling you stories.
I have several questions for you young lady: Do you know who actually you are? What do you think the meaning of happiness? Are you happy now? If this day is the last day for you, what will you do?
Whoa I prefer one question at a time, but okay I’m not gonna leave this.
1. Yes I do know who I am pretty well. 2. Happiness is when you don’t want to think about the haunting future or past. It’s the moment you’re looking forward to whatever life has in store.3. I try to be.4. If this is my last day, I’m going to have sleepless 24 hours and tell people what I’ve always wanted to tell them, I guess, though I know I won’t have enough time for that.
What do you think about zoo? Is it actually a safe place for animals?
I guess it depends.
For now I can’t say anything about animal’s safety, because I don’t really understand how zoos work, so I don’t really want to say anything that might be wrong about something I don’t know.
I personally have nothing against zoos, but sometimes there’s a pang in my heart to look at those animals being locked up, or worse, being “trained” as entertainers, because that’s what I saw in most of the zoos I’ve ever visited in my country. I’ve seen with my own eyes how the caretakers used sharp objects to control the elephants that were carrying the tourists around the zoo. I don’t know if it was the right thing to do, but I don’t like that sight and I don’t think I want to see more of it.
I understand that in some zoos animals are provided with treatment and enough food under the right maintenance by the right hands. There are some zoos that also function as sanctuaries, which is good, but as I said I don’t really understand how everything works, so I just hope every place that deals with animals has noble purpose to treat them right and hell lot of money to guarantee the animals’ welfare.
