There is a deadpan stare from Sam to Dean when his words are spoken. A scoff also follows and he shakes his head. Sam should really bite his tongue, truly and say nothing. Give Dean the thumbs up and say 'okay' and move along. But naw, he can't do that.

They're brothers and by code he can't do that.

The tremors through her body made her numb. She could barely feel her phone in her hand as she pressed the button to get Dean on the line. Whatever words came out of her mouth were unknown to her. They sounded distant, barely an echo as she tried to explain what happened and where she is. Jo didn't need to give too much until Dean said he was on his way, but would he be too late...?

The phone slips from her fingers and her head goes back against the wall. Everything around her suddenly falls into shades of black.

It's fine, she thinks. He'll be here...right?

“ You really have a stick up your butt when it comes to angels.” It was certainly a complaint to be given attitude upon first meeting, but it’s obvious the others haven’t really made a good impression upon the Winchesters. She’s heard about them - who in Heaven ( and hell ) hasn’t ?  Everything they’ve done is pretty well documented . A good read if not heartbreaking just the same.

“ No, we can’t.” Jo frowned, eyes cast down to the dirt below their feet. She knew that she wanted to do this and she was making a name for herself in doing it. But in this they lose as they gain. Sometimes one scale is more likely to outweigh the other...Sure, they help others but at what cost ? How much do they have to lose ? 

She leans against Dean’s shoulder, her head resting against it.

In order to prove her innocence, Lin would have to step out of her own box and do a few things she never thought she would. While she wasn’t naïve enough to believe that she’s the only thing like her to exist - she didn’t believe the extent of it until hunters showed up at her door. And now she’s learning a thing or two about what the world really holds. 

She’d be surprised, but very little does that these days. Besides, that’s occupied by someone trying to frame her for murder, get her caught and get her ... she doesn’t want to assume killed but it’s a safe bet. 

To clear her name she’s willing to team up with Dean and show him just how well she can behave even under pressure - she doesn’t turn everything into a popsicle at random.  In fact while assisting him she doesn’t use her powers at all, but does indeed help knock someone out with a large piece of wood in a scuffle. 

Letting it fall to the floor next to the unconscious body, Lin shrugs.
