This will be a long post. Heed the warning.
There are way too many things I admire about Seokjin Kim. But, the biggest of all is his tenacity. Very few individual can place themselves in a position that doesn't favour them or their skill sets and turn them into their strength. And even a fewer ones can carry that strength in the face of being scrutinized by the entire world, always waiting for them to fail. Seokjin's beauty often takes centre focus for many who may have known him and BTS for a shorter period of time, or even for those who may have been here much longer. His intelligence is of the kind that is subtle. His intelligence doesn't define him as is often in the case of Namjoon or Yoongi. His brilliance shines in subtler moments - his capacity to narrate simple but profound stories, his cooking skills (cooking is an underrated intelligence that often gets overlooked more as a skillset than a direct case of problem-solving capacity), his athleticism (again, people often notices the maknae line and Hoseok more because their physical dexterity is showcased in their art form) - he is good at way too many sports, his VOICE -God, his silver voice (I can go on and on and on about his dedication and tenacity to endure), his logical intelligence (if you watch Run BTS especially, you KNOW how GOOD he is at finding clues and solving things that often the others fail), his HUMILITY - he has so much to brag about and yet, a humble king, his love for speed (rumored, but he loves sports cars) - this one kinda turns me on, I am an adrenaline junkie, sue me.
Anyway, my point being, Seokjin is not underrated. None of them are, but his skills had been underused.
He shone in Yours OST. I wish him more, MORE, and more in the future.
