Anyone else kinda miss when a brand or corporation released something, you'd actually be excited? Now it's like, you can't support any of them because they're all up to some kind of nefarious thing all the time. I 'unno, I kinda miss getting hype about a new flavor of Brand or the latest entry in Series is gonna be a collab between Brand and legendary Brand. I mean, look at how hype E3 used to be.
It's like... I was thinking about how I used to think Google was the coolest thing and YouTube was amazing and Microsoft was super cool and Disney was actually magic. I mean, I'm sure they were up to this or that before, but I 'unno. I just remember being hype for something when they'd drop something. There's only a few companies I still get hype for, like Nintendo, but MAN if they aren't making it really hard to be excited for them anymore when they do typical company BS. I hate to say it, but I liked it better when they were the underdog and they had to actually try to appeal to people to stay in it.
I 'unno, blahblahblah noslagia. Maybe it's just from me being a kiddo and having a limited understanding of the world, but it just seems like most companies don't have any honor anymore, if it gets them more paper gods. Maybe they never really did, though, I dunno. Like I said, I was a kiddo at the time. I still am a kiddo, really. I will say, I'm EXTREMELY grateful that independent creators are out there and still giving that sense of "oh hey, they dropped a new thing", though. Those are people driven by actual passion.
