The Zoo

Go to the zoo. Just go. I know it's an hour drive and yes it is expensive, but baby, just go. Put your headphones in. You don't have to talk to anybody. Wander around, see children smiling, spend an hour chilling with your favourite animal. Find the loneliest species, the one no one likes, and go sit there. Spend some time with them. I know it won't really fix anything, but it might remind you how weirdly extraordinary this world is. I mean a giraffe, really? Elephants don't need to big THAT big. Leopards; who decided something so deadly had to be that beautiful? Spend a little while looking at the apes, realise we are all just monkeys that build a whole damn complicated society and now we're all a little lost. It's okay, darling. You will be alright. Just spend the day at the zoo, you can face the world tomorrow.
