Divine Transgressions: A chronicle of Heavenly Corruption

Session 0

The 5 Maidens, tired of the endemic corruption, have appointed my players to be special investigators.

[For years, I've wanted to run a Sidereal Exalted campaign with a Noir feeling. I was going for a Yu-Shan as Los Angeles in the early 50s]

The party is a courier (Mercury/ Journeys), an artist (Venus/Serenity), an exile (Mars/Battles), a fixer (Jupiter/Secrets) & a fate broker (Saturn/Endings).

The party met each other and sketched out a rough outline of their strategy on how to root out corruption amongst the gods and spirits who operate the Celestial Bureaucracy.

The plan they cooked up? They are going to launch a Tabloid/Investigative news program distributed via modified dream stones.

I had been expecting stakeouts, surveillance and playing sides against each other being the moves the players would employ

It's both ridiculous and kind of genius. This tactic pretty much precludes clandestine activity. But the public nature and widespread dissemination of their progress updates means that they're harder to kill.

Their first case is solving the assassination of Heaven's ambassador to Malfeas.

Exalted of the Five Maidens - The Harrowing Journey

A Star in the heavens am I, Mercury, my goddess, Patron of Travel, Of Journeys.

A Star in the heavens, Working the will of Fate itself, Giving some good fortune, And ensuring some journeys come to their Fated ends.

In all things, I am but a humble Servant, Doing the Maiden’s, and the Loom’s will.

I simply hope the Fate knows what is best, For if the Loom lies, or leads us astray, What would it mean?

Our betrayal, Rendered meaningless, So many travelers, lost, So many wanderers, extinguished, For the Hope that the Loom leads us true.
