@yuanre asked: Quick as a viper, he grabbed Feng Wu's hand, turning her to face him. A quick once-over proved she wasn't in danger of dying anytime soon, but the anger mixed with fear left him nauseous, and his voice was shaky if a bit cold. "Do not ever do that again. Next time you think of stepping between me and a demon will be last day I call you my sister."
The tug happened so out-of-the-blue that Feng Wu almost got whiplash when she got turned around. It took her completely by surprise...as did the look on his face. It was plastered across her face. Frankly, she thought she had done the right thing, that was her job right, to help protect him, they looked after each other. This whole ordeal came as a surprise….Feng Wu felt her stomach drop, a wave of nausea and fear washing over her as she tried to let her mind catch up with what was going on.
Hadn’t she done the right thing?
Feng Wu trembled, shrank away from him like a scolded child, despite the grip around his wrist. What was she meant to do with this?
Panic rolled through her, this horrible knowing twisting in her stomach….that she would do the same thing all over again. That keeping him safe was something she actively wanted to do, even if it went against his wishes, even if it pitted them against each other. It was a sad realisation, one that sent a pang of pain through her heart. If keeping him safe meant losing him, then that was what she would have to do? Wouldn’t it? While the idea of losing him broke her heart, the idea of him being dead was even more painful.
Attempting to tug her arm away from him, Feng Wu frowned, his point was never answered, instead a demand was made, “let go if me!”
