Road to Empress Part II - Li Tai Route (spoilers)
Okay, listen. I am all down for history and Wu Zetian’s actual rise to power. Icon, legend, no one’s doing/did it like her.
That being said, I don’t remember the last time I was sucker punched this hard by a het couple. Ffs can we get an extra pathway with a happy ending for these two 😭
Or at the very least a successful rebellion option? I feel like that should be a valid pathway to becoming an empress.
That’s my battle couple right there. ^^
The problem is that Li Zhi is very unsupportive of me murdering everyone in his pathway and meanwhile Li Tai is like “I’m not holding you back from doing what you want/need Queen. I am not here to judge”. Bring me my supportive husband back. Literally, if you decide to kill him for the Mirage Pavilion he’s still supportive:
Hell, Li Tai’s affinity for you jumps by +9 if you punch Xu Xiaode in the face (I mean you die right after BUT THATS NOT THE POINT).
THATS A SUPPORTIVE SPOUSE RIGHT THERE. LET ME KEEP HIM FFS.
Plus his hairpin in Road to Empress 1 was better and more sentimental. Why can’t I wear it?
And screw you game for giving me two heart wrenching montages of Li Tai across both pathways. The one at the end of his pathway did make me cry like come onnnn.
I’m holding out hope that thanks to this dialogue he’s not actually dead and we might get another storyline. (I’m coping)
Also, what do I need to do to get the greyed out option and 100% the game?
I really hope the developers add more chapters to the side story. I loved how you recruited Consort Wei’s daughter and that you could become friends with Xu Minhui in the alternate timeline.
