Giving up

I SWORE TO MYSELF I WASN’T GONNA GIVE THIS SHIP ANGST BUT NOOOO MY BRAIN SAID BE DEPRESSING

Basically it’s a what if Yui thought her advances weren’t going anywhere so instead “gives up”. Likely still wanted to be his friend but shutting down all her romantic pursuits.

Or we could pretend this was just Leo having a nightmare!~

Ace has probably made Yui cry on multiple occasions.

Yui is pretty resilient but things build up. I imagine after a long day of everything going wrong Ace decides to make a playful jab at Yui and she just, breaks.

Just starts crying cuz it was the straw that broke the camels back. Now Ace is stuck with Yui curled up in his arms, patting her back as she lets out little sobs.

BIG QUESTION: What vibe are you trying to go for on Older Yui

Here’s a babble of my thoughts so far then :,3

Leans towards fairly feminine styles in general or gender neutral

She actually used to have really really long hair in middle school but after a bullying incident she had to cut I short and kept it that way since.

I think maybe she would grow it out when she’s older but definitely not too long, something still manageable in length (plus it takes a while for hair so grow back anyway lolz)

Natural color but wouldn’t be against a little dye. Streaks at most and only subtle color variation.

She’s very attached to her mama who wears her hair in a side braid so maybe Yui would incorporate her mom’s braid until her own look somehow.

She’d likely use some kinda hair accessory, baby pink is her signature color so probably in that. Maybe if any of her hair is tied up a pink bow would work.

Im open to any suggestions and ideas even if they are outside what my brainstorm babble mentions

Does Yui have a last name? Also I know they're close to Grim but is it like siblings or parent/child

And Yui and Grims dynamic is sorta an amalgamation of parent and son/siblings/bffs but I think platonic soulmates is what I like to call them the most.
