I've never actually played Splatoon, but i reeeaaally want it
I'm really sorry to bother, but I'm wondering whether you have a take on the popular theory of the session getting rid of a player if they have the same aspect/class? I'm sorry, but I actually forgot which it was, but I was wondering whether you could share your thoughts.
never heard of it but since my stance is that SBURB doesn't actually have a conscious will and can't actually decide things like session or alpha timeline or players I would say it doesn't get rid of anything for any reason.
the life cycle of a SBURB/Universe is very simple
The players in a session breed a frog, the random variables that decide what players are and what classpects they have are and how their entire session will play out from beginning to end or should play out via the Alpha Timeline for them is all the dna that is bred into this frog by the players.
So the SBURB that these first players are in brings this Frog to life, and it becomes it own instance of a universe with it's own SBURB that facillitates the premade sessions and players of its own session and things. Everything that happens in it's alpha timeline and all of it's timeloops from beginning to end are all created all at once, the whole universe is created at the same time when that frog is brought to life.
this new SBURB can do nothing except follow the program set by the players via frog breeding in the previous SBURB, and once it's created the previous SBURB has no influence at all on the new session. It merely brings to life the frog that was bred by the players.
The players decide everything, the only thing SBURB can do is put that program they created into action, bring that frog they bred to life. It literally is just a programming game CD, it doesn't think about anything, it's not alive.
so this also means that Universes with SBURB can only be bred from a Universe that had SBURB in it first, and the very first universe to play SBURB probably just had a CD enter it's universe one day, scanned it and the potential players within it and create a session/forge based on the scan.
It could be perhaps the the first creation of a SBURB CD was a Universe wide effort by a particular Universe near the end of it's life cycle, and probably just including the capability to turn frog = universe and everyone bred a frog together the hard way, hand created a forge planet and everything and called upon their gods the denizens to help them out, putting in all the basics of a SBURB CD that could create a session and game of it's own into that particular Frog/Universe and thus the first real SBURB came into existence and started the chain of universe breeding.
anyway I got off track there, so the basic thing is the SBURB that you are playing cannot and does not affect your session or alpha timeline or what 'should' happen in any way, it only can effect that sort of thing in the Universe you are creating next, because it brings the frog to life, but even then it doesn't decide anything for it or affect it AFTER it is created anyway, all the decisions for what is supposed to happen are facilitated by what you as the players decided to breed into that frog.
The circle and the way it plays out is created all at once, whatever timeloops or alpha timeline that will happen already exists in it's entirety from birth, so nothing needs to be affected or changed anyway.
