That’s possible, though with it being about 3-4 years since the Blight at this point, I hope Mahariel is at least trying to look for their clan? (Unless there’s some headcanon for why they wouldn’t.) As for Zevran, my Mahariel actually romanced him, so I’m just going to imagine he didn’t make the connection between Merrill and Mahariel until after he parted ways with Hawke & friends.

so like, in my recent memory:

it is both an expression of confusion and one of mild betrayal, like “wtf?” but with the added implication that you are being unfairly fucked over

So I'm in the process of getting top surgery as well, so like hope painful is it? would sitting at a computer hurt to much?

I stayed overnight at the hospital the first night, and while I wasn’t in too much pain, per say, I did have a sizeable dose of pain meds so ymmv. for the most part any pain I had the first week or so came from the drains, so once they were out I was smooth sailing. most of my chest is still completely numb from the surgery itself, and I’ve heard it can take ~6mo or more for feeling to fully return, so that’s something to be aware of. as far as typing on the computer goes, as long as you set it up comfortably and in close reach you should be fine using it within the first few days; the only reason I stayed off for longer is because my desk makes me have to reach for the keys, and I didn’t want to put unnecessary stress on my stitches. TLDR: drains suck, pain meds rock, and again ymmv but my chest is/was more numb than pain. I used the pain meds mostly for sleeping tbh

Well don't tears just let in spirits while rifts drag them out making them demons and allow people to go meat suit and all into the fade?

do they?? i’m honestly can’t remember and my wiki browsing so far hasn’t been conclusive. the basic descrip for the fade rift wiki page is “fade rifts are small tears in the veil into the fade.” 

if the inquisitor’s companions managed to fall into the fade with them and fade tears have been occurring for all of these years, i’m honestly kind of surprised people haven’t tried physically hopping into the fade before. like yeah there’s lots of demons nearby but surely someone’s tried it

there just so many plot holes. they shouldnt have done this. yeah i understand offing characters too! but just dont do it in the fade where it's so ??? vague? probs purposefully vague so they can always retcon tbh. i wish they were more deliberate in their storytelling. bah!!!!!!!!!!

YEAh the fade was an iffy place to off them if they Really wanted to off them. honestly sometimes i feel bad for the dragon age writers bc the more and more they progress with games the most variables they have to account for from prior games and player choices. like.. good lucko. but also i want good game so please try ur best

nope, that's p much exactly right. skyrim has various questlines, but you're free to do or not do whatever the fuck you want, really. it's super open-ended!

keeping all of this advice in mind, i wandered aimlessly around skyrim for an hour and a half on monday night and it was...weirdly fulfilling? to not be hightailing it to any side quest that popped up? i met a farmer walking a painted cow to a giant camp as an offering, which was pretty hilarious.
