Loved ones? Surprisingly, Kou did have something like that. ♪
A broken little family formed not of blood, but of principle. Circumstance. Brought together by a desperate need to survive, a second chance that humanity alone would not offer. Though strange in their fruition, the bone was, at its core, completely genuine. The heart he no longer possessed felt love for his brothers, the companions who were perhaps the only ones who would ever understand the depth of his suffering... they had in their own way felt it, too. ♪
But they never talked of this. They never discussed it. This understanding came almost subconsciously, a need to help one another that required not words but actions alone. Words that followed were a rare occasion... something deep within him wondered if this time he would have to speak. And this is perhaps what lead him to seek the other out almost immediately. ♪
He did not possess the fear the others did. But what of Yuma? Though it was only the two of them, in this place Kou was the eldest; Ruki’s responsibilities became his, as natural as the passing of time. There was something oddly paternal about it, not that he even realized it himself. Finding the other’s residence rather easily, Kou wasted no moment slamming on the door. ♪
