The situation stresses Ivlis out considerably. High above the city’s night-scape, a reflection thereof existed. If Ivlis himself were not the one gazing into the sky, then it would have been a frightening thing to bear witness to. Impending chaos looms within the Hive’s nighttime setting; already having been involved with an invasion from their world to this one. A familiar endeavor, he would guess.
This is what ambitious Devils do in their spare time. Invade and conquer.
A crimson blaze is left behind from Ivlis’s own attack, its luminescence as it burns away an assailant’s corpse being the one thing that truly illuminates this small vicinity. Tail flickering in sheer agitation, the Devil’s case is fully cast upon the vampire’s general presence.
“Why would anyone miss ya? Listen, you little shit, I don’t have time ta’ deal with ya.” “NPC’s” as they were called barely posed a threat to the flame world’s Devil. Not when they burned so easily.
“Shouldn’t ya be home cryin’ to yer brother or somethin’? Let the big boys play a little bit more.”
Ah, yes. The actual fighting, the thing that made this city cower. Kou could do some damage, but even he wasn’t stupid enough to underestimate a full trained militia. Even vampirism had its limits when posed against some of these other beings. Not in intimidation but recognition did he notice Ivlis’s newfound strength. A broken little family formed not of blood, but of principle. Circumstance. Brought together by a desperate need to survive, a second chance that humanity alone would not offer. But they never talked of this. They never discussed it. This understanding came almost subconsciously, a need to help one another that required not words but actions alone. But regardless of answer, he did not consider these thoughts now. They remain untouched in his subconscious, merely brushed with mental fingertips as he saw others tremble. Fear. Cowardice. It was quite amusing -- he would have to find Yuma later to be sure the buffoon could handle himself, as well (certainly not to check up on him) -- but what amused him right off the bat was a familiar face. Rows and rows of color had flurried throughout displays && racks of girly fabrics; pieces of clothing that would don especially well on the lamb’s petite figure. Humming, Yui happily dragged her nimble fingers across the pretty cloths that had caught her eye, sometimes picking them up and lifting them in the air to spectate every single detail they bound. Eventually, malted pastel hues disheveled splendidly over a slender forearm held tight to her small chest — pinks, mints, peaches, && a seldom amount of charcoal and blue-navy. Colors that went generally well for her skintone, and hair color.
She wasn’t a material girl, she didn’t often get herself new clothes or shoes. She never spent her money frivolously. However, the attire she brought with her – well, it was small and old. Two hours and three full outfits-worth later, the shopping part of her day had been completed and the urge for something sweet settled in. As she carried herself through the shopping center, wide eyes browsed every individual store, a soaring amount of smells and people waltzing around daintily in the air. It all seemed so big and wide. Interesting shops, book stores, food vendors and restaurants. It was wonderfully chaotic. In all honesty… he was a little bummed. He had hoped to be on good terms with Yuma’s brothers once he got the chance to meet them, after all, that Azusa guy didn’t seem all too bad. But this guy… this guy really ticked him off. Even worse, he had an apparent problem with Joseph before they had even met face-to-face! How the hell was he supposed to fix a situation like that, especially when he found himself victim to some apparent show of power? Sadly, he found it hard to be intimidated by a little squirt like this, vampiric strength present or not. In all honesty, all he saw before him was a brat who didn’t like the idea of his brother hanging out with those supposedly lesser than he. Humans in general? Maybe…
