Reflection #4: The Final One

So, this is probably the last reflection! We’ve finished our project, I think. Well, I’ve finished my part, i don’t know about Bellatrix and Hermione. They’re in charge of taking my research and putting it on our cardboard presentation thing. So, I’ve just printed out our menu. it looks really cool, but also slightly boring. The font we used is Oswald, and I just realised that it’s the same font as the indigo bookstore logo. And the colour we used was tumblr blue, obviously. So, we’ll probably post a picture of our finished presentation on here, and then that will probably be it! Bye.

Reflection #2

I’m curious about learning how hard it is to make a different advertisements for a restaurant, and how we could make that happen.

We didn’t feel we needed support from another person because we were just doing research.

I don’t know if this counts as a surprise, but one of the smartest ideas that Bellatrix la Strange and Luna Lovegood had is to start a website. We chose a tumblr blog, obviously.

Our peers told us that our blog was really awesome and was a very good idea. Also, people told us that our poster was really cool.

Pretty much everything came easy to us, except for the first time that Bellatrix la Strange was trying to sign up for tumblr. She forgot the password, and we had to start again.

We have learned how to start a restaurant, on a very basic level. This information could help in the future if any of us decides to run a restaurant or business in the future.

I would give other students who are starting their first Innovation Week project should do their research first, then their final product. That way, they have everything that they need, and they know anything they need to do.

I think that next time I should make sure to choose a group that won’t get distracted over the other drinking their Kool-Aid.

Reflection #1: The Beginning

Today, we have researched and wrote about managing a business. We’ve learned that the job of manager is to train and hire new staff, ensure that the customer service people are doing their jobs, and sometimes even helping to serve food and drinks to the patrons. Also, we started this blog to do reflections, and share our progress with our teachers, classmates, and you guys on the Internet. Also, we have started researching other jobs, such as, baristas and accountants.
