pasé la última semana paseando por Salta, la linda, repleta de paisajes bellísimos a los que su nombre no alcanza a hacer justicia, así que les comparto algunas fotos.

1. una llamita en el colegio El Alfarcito, camino a San Antonio de los Cobres, punto de partida del Tren a las Nubes

2. un edificio en Cachi, un pueblo que parece pintado al óleo entre las montañas

3. yo, je, en la Quebrada San Lorenzo, a 10km de Salta capital, zona de yunga, verde y con un aire a Miyazaki

4. el kilómetro 62 de la ruta a Cafayate, puente donde se filmo uno de los episodios de la película Relatos Salvajes, turismo cinéfilo

5. el Viaducto La Polvorilla, última parada del maravilloso Tren a las Nubes, encallado entre los cerros a 4200msnm

You know what? I’m in a mood. I think I’m going to make MORE posts about the ridiculousness of Mochica.

(Note: It’s name isn’t even Mochica! It’s been called Yunga, Muchik, Mochica, maybe Quingnam but maybe not, we have NO CLUE what the Mochicans called their own language.)

Anyways, these are some of the ways that people who heard the language spelled the word for: 

‘fire’ - uf, ooχ, och, oj, ú, ol

‘water’ -  ja, là, xa 

‘sun’ -  xllang/xllankik, jang, cheang 

‘star’ -  tconkik, cɥong-oiæc

‘alive’ -  siam,  ciamoiñ

‘fish’ -   giac, híac, xllac 

Can you imagine trying to find duplicates? I found ‘alive’ and ‘fish’ WHILE MAKING THIS POST.

Given the words:

how would you order them?

Because my current guess is:

/ɕamoñ/ - ciamoiñ 

/ɕet/ - ssiet

/keɕmen/ - quezmen

/sap/ - ssap

/sem/ - sem 

but I’m open to alternate suggestions. They were a different order earlier today!
