From the moment that the hands of time were rewound, Yurena had been considered many things. From traitor to murderer to so much more; but Riley found an inability to focus on those things. Throughout the years, they had all been dealt different hands. Some much worse off than others; Yurena had been one of those. While better choices could have been made, Riley understood that it had eventually come to that. Penance had begun, and it was worth showing that someone had taken notice. "I hear the desserts this year are even better than before. Care to try some with me?"

"Have we found a babysitter for you yet?" In truth, Bastien knew the little witch was older than she looked. But anyone that was no taller than the counter should still be dropped off at daycare, should they not? Did Necromanteion even have one? "Perhaps August can create you one. Any preferences?"

“I dare you to give that one,” his hand lifted, a finger indicating one of the unsuspecting vampires that had flooded the space around them, “a little brain bleed.” Bastien had only recently learned of this game, Truth or Dare, and now found cause to play it whenever he could. And truly, what was a better place than the vampire Queen’s wedding.

“Come on, derramar el té,” he let the words roll off his tongue slowly, lips turned up into a grin not long after. They were tucked away into the party held by the fey, who boasted something or a rather on it being one to remember. He highly doubted it, but he’d attend nonetheless, if only to sneak another moment with one in particular. As it were, though, he found himself in the company of someone much different.

It had been a few days since the attack, since the city had been infiltrated with animated corpses and ghouls, hellbent on destroying nearly anything in their paths. Kaan had been immune, thanks to the mark that had returned to his skin, that had mingled with that of the Narcissus coven. But he knew others had not been so lucky, and despite his demeanor that he only cared for his own coven of witches, there were still some that he wanted --- no, needed to check up on. Yurena happened to be one of those. 

A member of a lost coven, the disciple of the only other sovereign that Kaan had taken favor with. But he struggled to make the move into the bookstore, for while she had returned, Erik had not. It was a blow that he had not been expecting to hit so hard, nor the lingering questions that had come with her reappearance. As it were, Kaan knew he could not linger for much longer on the street, so he finally made his move. Once inside the store, he stood only a foot from the door behind him, “Yurena?”

“Ooh, spiiirit,” the words were released in a sing song like voice, Ángel settled on top of a stack of books nestled at the back of the shop. Whenever he was feeling bored or mischievous, he often found his way to the haunted bookstore, ever eager to see if any of the spirits were from some long ago kill of his. Poor things.
