no it was where the wind blows or something by James Patterson. they were these genetically modified kids with wings that were raised in a mountain lab or something. and the two protagonists are this man and woman, and every chapter switches between their perspective. but I forgot what their deal is entirely except that they fuck near the end while one of the bird kids watches.
