Lesbian Art Exhibit Yuriten 2020 to be Held Virtually in March
On February 15, the official Twitter account for Yuriten, an annual Japanese Yuri fair, announced that the fourth event, Yuriten 2020, would be held virtually during March. The event was initially pushed back from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The last Yuriten event was held in 2019 in five different cities.
Yuriten features prominent Yuri artists, photographers, and creators. The Twitter account also confirmed that for the second year running, Bloom Into You creator Nakatani Nio created the main illustrated visual for the fair. Minori Takahashi’s photograph servers as the event’s other main visual.
Participating creators include Nachi Aono (Kimi ga Shinu Made Koi wo Shita), Iri Arata (Ame Demo Hare Demo), and AKILI (Vampeerz). Vampeerz is licensed in English by Denpa. The first English volume will be released in Summer 2021. Other creators contributing to the event are to be announced.
The artwork featured in Yuriten 2020 will be posted on the event’s website. Exclusive merchandise, including apparel, clear files, tapestries, and more, will be sold online. Yuriten runs from March 1 to March 31 this year.
Lesbian Art & Manga Exhibition Yuriten Held Online This Month
The 2020 annual Japanese Yuri exhibition and fair Yuriten is currently being held online for the month of March. The event hosts artwork and photography from some of the biggest names in the Yuri genre. Originally planned for six venues in 2020, Lilium Inc pushed back this fifth Yuri Fair and moved online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Veiwers worldwide and visit the Yuriten website and enjoy the features creators and works, as well as purchasing official merchandise and Yuriten exclusive goods like the 2020 calendar and clear file featuring the events main visuals: an illustration by Nakatani Nio (Bloom Into You) and a photograph by Minori Takhashi. Preorders for merchandise are accepted during the fair, all March long. Although the goods are only shipped in Japan, international patrons can utilize delivery forwarding services.
