It was just a joke between us BC I read her fic and I photoshopped something stupid and then I wrote drabbles and a fanfic and then some of our friends drew fanart lol. Then I made the side blog. I was just joking with my friend and didn't expect it to become a huge meme LOL

Ahaha, you must be crowned a legend of this fandom. Like I don’t know if I should be exasperated or completely awed (spoiler, it’s the latter). First of all, kudos for the idea. We need more people like you, and I am grateful because her fic was a blessing, and for a while small!Yuu and nuggets were my aesthetic too. I think everyone just loved the idea so much that’s why it spread like this… though it became a monster at one point. It had been genius until it was everywhere, and scared everyone. Still, I am forever grateful for making this meme come to life, it had been oddly amusing to be traumatised by it.

Also, as a kid I literally had a nugget obsession like Yuu, and thanks to nuggets being EVERYWHERE, I relapsed into that addiction /bows hat. Now I have to thank you all for that lol.

We have survived grave times my friend. No one should forget the Nuggetpocalypse of 2015.

Let me tell you a story, of story of war, and… nuggets. Okay lol, I’m done.

Basically the start of the YuuxNugget is a little ambiguous but worry not, there is an explanation. So it all started on AO3, in one beautiful chapter, of a beautiful fic written by seredemia, “I’m Right Here”. If you haven’t heard of it, do it, I totally recommend it. Anyway, to make this short, the fic is an AU, and Yuu is in Guren’s care. Yuu is younger than in canon, and for some reason has a hilarious obsession with nuggets (when I first read that I laughed so hard).

Since IRH is one of the most popular and known OnS fics, ofc it got some fanart made. One of them it was a post with Yuu and Nuggets. I don’t remember the user now, but if anyone knows it, please feel free to credit it. For some reason our fandom does love food, because everyone, whether they read the fic or not, found the thing hilarious. More fanarts appeared, people started photoshopping images, a side blog appeared dedicated to this…. and in shorter words IT EXPLODED. Like, badly and it stayed like that longer than the Wasteland from Fallout 4, to the point even the original author got scared of the monster created.

Anyway, we had survived this Apocalypse and now we tell this as a tale of war. You can understand the fear of us all when we see the new Salt Monster rising to power (we’re doomed again aren’t we?).

Anyway I hope this clears things up to you. Now I have to go eat some nuggets after invoking the food so much lol.
