There was only a slight implication of the effect Yuuri’s words had on Viktor in that moment. A clenching of the jaw momentarily and a brief flicker of hurt in his eyes before he caught himself. Soon enough a bright smile is forced and his voice light and airy as usual.

–XVII–🗡 To say that Ryuu was surprised when Yuuri ran up to him would be an understatement. ‘I can’t get you out of my head.’ To hear such words from a lovely man was a blessing. 

“Is this Yuuri’s way of saying he has a crush on me?” Ryuu teased. But Yuuri wasn’t the only one who was intrigued. Really, Ryuu wouldn’t have agreed to support the other male if he wasn’t interested in him. His time was valuable and, really, he was losing money on the time he spent with Yuuri. 

Although if this was about money, he’d be supporting Nikiforov. Or perhaps that Plisetsky boy. He was promising, and he could probably negotiate a bigger cut of the boy’s winnings. Still, Yuuri was cute, kind and determined, and, for some ridiculous reason, Ryuu wanted to see him succeed. 

“You have my phone number. Call me some time, we can grab lunch,” he said with a smirk, waving to the other over his shoulder as he walked away. “I have a meeting to get to, but it was nice seeing you.”
