Sometimes Im just thinking about how many of Gu Mang's plans to protect Mo Xi backfired. Pretty often it was because he couldn't predict how bonkers Mo Xi can be.

Which is kind of funny but also sad.

I think its obvious how much Mo Xi was putting Gu Mang on pedestal but Gu Mang also was blind to some parts of Mo Xi.

Mo Xi and his view on sex is such fascinating subject.

Like, its easy to call him a prude but after reading that au extra... It makes sense. Sex for him means something dirty, to be ashamed for. It was not only the fact that he saw his mother doing it with someone else than her husband. I think it was mostly because Mo Xianting saw him, never stopped, and finally let out his hatred for his brother and Mo Xi.

As a kid I watched too much Bleach so I love the trope of sentient weapon.

Which means that I can't stop thinking about Tuntian having more personality and a special place in back of Mo Xi's brain.

I want it to love Chonghua but despising evil, but it also likes fighting TOO MUCH (in canon it truly feels sometimes as if it was just some evil eldritch beast) , like lets clean this place by being stabby.

Half of the Mo Xi willpower comes by telling Tuntian "no" for everytime it suggests just stabbing Mo Xianting.

All that genius for making spells but Gu Mang still didn't make one to put cat ears on Mo Xi.

Gu Mang and his view on sexuality is interesting too.

Because for him being into women is just another mask. When he borrows money he creates illusion of being a womanizer because its more acceptable to get money for presento to give for pretty girl than food for your shidi. Same thing before defecting, when he wanted to look like a waste. And probably spend some time with people who wouldn't treat him like a trash.

(I wonder if difference of ximang view on the women comes from fact of how different they were treated by their mother figures. Gu Mang had someone who cared. With Mo Xi its tricky because in extra it looks like Madam Mo still cares but at the same time how the fuck she never saw Mo Xianting abuse?!)

But the most interesting aspect is that Gu Mang doesn't have a panic over being gay. Terror comes with realization that Mo Xi is and what it means. He sees it as danger for Mo Xi's future. Loving a man is bad, even worse if its a slave. Gu Mang can't separate love from class, he is too aware how all of it works. So he still tries to talks himself and Mo Xi that all of it is just a fun, the true future and happy ending for Mo Xi is having wife and kids.

In my head Mo Xi's problem with skipping eating while working must started because of his uncle. I just know this dude used lack of food as punishment or tried to mess with it. With servants on his side it must be easier.

So Mo Xi for long time was like "I need to check this food in ten different ways or at best Im gonna get stomach ache for a day".

I was thinking about Mo Xi and his childhood. Like in extra (not totally canon but I think those little parts about Mo family are canon) its mentioned that his uncle was basically going all psychological warfare.

And I can't stop thinking about two things:

1. What he was doing? For sure there was pressure of servants obeying Mo Xianting and telling him about everything that Mo Xi did. But was he trying to use money too by giving as little as possible? Punishments not cruel at first sight but rather too much (kneeling outside but "accidentally" there is a bad weather)? Or maybe messing with his food by giving too little or not healthy enough?

Plus Im sorry but TW SEX MENTION AND CREEPY SHIT I can't stop thinking that this guy saw that Mo Xi walked on them and continued fuckin his mom. And then Mo Xi got sick. I bet he tried some weird shit with it too. Like trying to put prostitute in his room or something.

2. There is no way that Madam Mo didn't saw what the fuck is going on. What was her deal.

Gu Mang was pushing so hard for Mo Xi being with Mengze but I just know that if there was a real possibility of Mo Xi marrying someone else He Would Not Be Normal About It. He wants his princess to be happy so is that future spouse Good Enough? He is trying to be supportive but is so passive agressive.

Like the worst mix of ex who is clearly not over it/demanding mother in law/overprotective father in law who in case already prepared shovel and place where to hide a body.
