The the @lancey-birthday-exchange and my giftee @yuzuling
Happy Birthday to our favorite boy, and please love the soft bookworm librarian Altean.
Heeeey 😎👉👉
1. First impression: Honestly I have no idea, it was in the LFB server which was so huge and active I could barely keep track of people. The two interactions we had - before dms and all that - that stick out to me, are the argument about lions and then also the comment you made in the nsfw channel that literally started our friendship lmao2. Truth is: You’re hawt jkjk truth is you’re my best online friend and I’m still mad we live in different countries3. How old do you look: Early 20s4. Have you ever made me laugh: literally all the fucking time. But especially when you’re drunk texting, very cute and stubborn5. Have you ever made me mad: Not really? I mean there was that one fight about the lions but I wasn’t ever mad about it.6. Best feature: That I can talk to you about absolutely anything and even if we disagree we can still talk about it like rational human beings7. Have I ever had a crush on you: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)8. You’re my: Angst and smut king
I signed up to be a pitch hitter writer and I was wondering if an assignment would be coming soon? Or are writers not really needed atm? I just want to be prepared for how much work I should be expecting.
Hiya! So, generally we contact pinch hitters between the 15th-20th of each month, immediately after check-ins end and we see who made them and who is dropping the event.
We’ve already contacted fill-ins for all of the February drop-outs, but I can pretty much guarantee there will be more people that miss check-ins for March, so you can expect to be contacted around the 15th of next month with a position we have open.
Thanks so much for signing up and being willing to take on a pinch-hitting position closer to the end of the event, we really appreciate it! February had quite a few drop-outs and we were stretched pretty thin to accommodate, so we definitely need as many pinch hitters as we can get just in case next month goes similarly.
Let us know if you have any other questions or need anything explained in more detail. Otherwise, keep your eyes peeled just after the 15th of March for an email from us! We’d be happy to have you once positions open up.
I've only interacted with you once, and you were the sweetest nicest person that could ever exist and you don't deserve to be bullied. People in the SAGA community should stick up for each other, not put each other down. Know that you'll always have a comrade in me no matter what your orientation was, is, or will be. <333
This is so bloody sweet ;-; thank you so much. I just hope that, at the end of the day, everyone is alright. I didn’t mean to spark such controversy. Again, thank you for this. Right back at you <3
49! Gimme that advice!
On this addition of why can’t I just do things faster, I have an old ask that I didn’t answer. I’m sorry for taking this long.
As far as writing advice goes I make sure that I write or outline a little bit everyday, even if I don’t write that outline down. It helps me flesh out my story ideas and character dynamics better, letting me really think about how the characters would feel in such situations.
Also, don’t be afraid to just word vomit if you’re on a roll. You can always go back and edit it all later. But, also if the scene requires a little something extra, for example, if it’s very emotional, sometimes it is better to take lots of time on it to get word choice right the first time around.
And lastly, research, research, research. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. For my current fic I’ve asked a lot of people different questions so things can be as accurate as possible, since that is something I work to achieve in my writing. For things that I did not have first hand experience with, or did not know someone who had, I spent hours and hours of research over a decently long period of time so I could portray it as accurately as possible. Just never feel bad about asking questions to learn, it’ll only make your writing better.
