Since im close to finishing @moondreamss part of our art trade I wanted to post this thing. Based off my very personal experience of children stealing my goddamn food
---
He just wanted to eat his lunch in the park, it was nice and it was warm, it felt amazing on his skin. Just because he was a villain, it didn’t mean he couldn’t enjoy a nice sunny day with food from his favorite take away Chinese restaurant. He even brought his sketch book! Something he rarely ever did these days, just in case some kind of inspiration peaked his interest.
As he brought a fork of chow mein to his mouth, he heard something, someone, sit-down next to him. Rippen, looked down, staring up at him was the biggest bluest eyes, eyes that looked awfully familiar to someone he knew.
“Can I help you?” Rippen asked, putting the fork down, “Maybe direct you the nearest wood chipper?”
“Hi.” The toddler only replied, coking his head to the side and Rippen was becoming awfully aware of who this toddler belonged to, “Penny.”
“Don’t you mean Penn?” Rippen asked getting more than a little annoyed at the moment.
“Hm,” Penn only looked at his food, “An’ I have some?”
“Why would I do that?” Rippen asked, putting his cheek on a fist, “Don’t your parents feed you?”
“Yeah.”
“So why my food?” Rippen asked raising an eyebrow
“It’s good.” He replied, his eyes lighting up at the sketch book. Rippen felt his stomach lurch, “I draw!”
“I bet,” Rippen gritted out, “Look, child, why don’t you just run back to your parents? They’re probably whatever a parent is feeling right now.”
Much to his dismay and horror, the toddler didn’t even verbally respond. Instead the toddler, not caring for how Rippen freezed up and started stuttering, climbing into his lap, “I draw now?”
“Why would you draw now?!” Rippen demanded his hands up, trying not to touch the child who had cozied up in his lap, grabbing his sketchbook and opening it! Right next to his chow mein no less!
“Pretty,” That word made Rippen’s narrow, he looked as Penn flipped through his sketchbook. The toddler not getting his grubby on the pictures he sketched, but just…looking at them. Until he looked back up at Rippen, “Show me?”
“I believe you’ve already been shown,” Rippen replied reminding himself, this was in fact, a toddler and not a bomb. Where were the Zeros?!
“No!” Peen replied, slamming his hand down by the pages, thankfully not on the pages, “How to!”
“…To draw?”
“Yea!” He was smiling now, “Wanna make pretty!”
“I-“
“Penn!” Screaming rang out around them, the toddler actually looking a bit miffed by the fact someone was yelling for him. Rippen looked over his shoulder, Brock and Yvonne Zero yelling out and looking everywhere for the lost pu-toddler. Rippen’s ears twitched and he looked back down at the boy in his lap.
“I think they’re calling for you,” Rippen said gently moving the boy off his lap, “Why don’t you go to your mama and Papa?”
“Wanna make pretty,” he pouted and for a moment Rippen felt a kindred soul.
“Later,” Rippen said setting the boy on the grass, “Go on, shoo.”
“Promise?”
Rippen pinched his nose and sighed, this child was insufferable, “If I say yes will you go?”
Silence was the only thing that greeted him, well that, and the big blue eyes that refused to leave him, “Yes, I promise. Now go to your parents before they see me.”
“Bye!”
“…Bye”

Man, don’t you hate it when a casual hook up actually becomes a full on throuple?
Idk why, or how it wold even WORK, but I seriously ship Brock/Rippen/Yvonne. One of my favorite ot3s and I can't just put a finger why that is. It just itches my brain the right kinda way.
