The jungle wasn’t exactly her typical stomping grounds. It was hard to see five feet ahead thanks to all the foliage and the toxic goop was doing something to her respiratory system. Nonetheless, Wendy saw to it that she’d make the most of a bad situation.
Having found a patch of the jungle without much toxic water, she took a deep breath of near-fresh air and started experimenting with the environment. After all, the poor visibility made it a perfect place to attach some tripwire hooks (which for some reason, had eyes) and tripwire.
According to plan; when Mario trips over the wire, he will fall into a small pit of spikes disguised as ground. And it he didn’t turn into a shish ka-plumber on impact, a chain chomp is supposed to be lowered which will then bite his head off.
It was so gruesome, so needlessly violent, it was perfect! If only she had some bottom-rung minion around she could explain it all to. Instead there was just some stranger nearby.
And they smelled a bit like that Mario! Not exactly but close enough to alarm her.
Pulling out her wand and looking around, Wendy tried to keep her composure.
“A-Alright! Whoever you are, get out where I can see you right now!”
"I LOOOOVE your hat, miss!"
“Thank you~! Pyonta thinks you look tasty!”
"Mama Rosie!"
“Penelope! It’s bee a long while since we’ve seen each other! How are you, sweetheart?”
"Did you try to drop a tree on me?"
“Pft, do I look like the kinda sneak that’d do something so low?”
... the answer was yes but he’d rather omit his horrible failu-... uh, setback.
"Junkeeeeeeeeeeee~"
“Nellyyyyyyyyyyyyyy~”
"Daddy, I ran into one of those Koopalings..."
